The Provincial Executive of Gelderland has decided to allow the Veldzicht business park in Ermelo to participate in the Energyhubs Gelderland pilot project, according to the website Ermelo van Nu. In May 2024, the Veldzichtse Energie Cooperative Ermelo U.A. was established, statutes were laid down, and technical investigations were carried out. The final step was obtaining permission for a group connection, which allows companies to exchange energy with each other. This ensures a more efficient and effective use of the energy infrastructure, including the generation, transport, and storage of energy, according to the website.
