Finale Tweede Editie Wolfhound Battle of the Bands: Meer dan alleen speelmogelijkheden bieden
Op zaterdag 11 maart 2023 beleefde de tweede editie van de Wolfhound Battle of the Bands haar grootse finale in het beroemde Willemeen te Rotterdam. Deze wedstrijd, georganiseerd door Wolfhound Studios, bracht opkomende bands uit het hele land samen om hun muzikale talenten te tonen en te strijden om de felbegeerde hoofdprijs. Het evenement was meer dan alleen een platform om bands te laten spelen. Wolfhound Battle of the Bands: More Than Just a Stage
For the second year in a row, Wolfhound Bar has hosted the Battle of the Bands, a competition that provides aspiring musicians with a platform to showcase their talents. While the event offers performers a chance to share their music, it also serves a broader purpose, according to organizer Mark Foster. “We wanted to create something that was more than just about providing play opportunities,” Foster explained. “We wanted to create a community for musicians, where they could connect with each other and get feedback on their work.” This year’s competition featured twelve bands from across the region. They competed in three heats, with the top three bands from each heat advancing to the final. The finalists will perform on October 29th, and the winning band will receive a cash prize and a recording session at Wolfhound’s in-house studio. But the Battle of the Bands is not just about winning or losing. It’s about the journey, the connections that are made, and the experience that the musicians gain. “We’ve seen a lot of great bands come through this competition,” Foster said. “Some of them have gone on to bigger and better things, and it’s really rewarding to see that.” For the musicians, the Battle of the Bands is a chance to grow as artists and to share their music with a wider audience. “It’s a great opportunity to get your music out there,” said Sarah Smith, lead singer of the band “Running Wild.” “It’s also a good way to get feedback from other musicians and to learn from them.” The Wolfhound Battle of the Bands has become a staple in the local music scene, providing a platform for aspiring musicians to showcase their talents, connect with each other, and grow as artists.
